It’s a big night tonight for the idols. Each contestant has to sing a full whopping three songs each. The songs are chosen by the Judges, Producers, and the Idols themselves. So let’s get right on with it:
The idols sang judge’s choice first. David Archuleta was up first singing, “And So it Goes.” Paula chose this song. Interesting enough, the song was presented to David by Mr. Moustache, the mayor of his hometown.
- Randy thought it was dope!
- Paula said it was a pure, stunning performance.
- Simon said it was very good, but a bit predictable.
I gave it a 5/5.
Syesha Mercado was up second singing Randy’s choice, “If I Ain’t Got You.”
- Randy said she did an amazing job.
- Paula said she was proud of her.
- Simon said she sang it very well.
I gave it 5/5. This is Syesha’s best performance of the night in my opinion.
David Cook was last to the stage singing Simon’s song choice, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”
- •Randy loved it towards the end, but wanted more rock.
•Paula said that song was one of her all time favorite songs.
•Simon said that this was one of David’s best performances ever.
