American Idol: Top 4 Perform

American Idol Top 4

Tonight on American Idol, the top 4 sang songs from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Tonight, Paula seemed sober for once! Anyways, let’s get right on with it.

David Cook was up first, singing, “Hungry Like the Wolf.” Right away, I thought this performance was a little weak. I love the actual song, but to me it just looked like he didn’t care how good he did. Like he was just standing there, singing.
•Randy said it was just okay for him.
•Paula said “Hungry like the Wolf” left her with an appetite.
•Simon said it was good, but a bit copycat.
Like I said, I was a bit bored with the performance. 3/5

Second up was Syesha Mercado singing, “Proud Mary.”
•Randy said it was in the zone.
•Paula said she looked like a star.
•Simon said was like a bad shrieky version of Tina Turner.
I have to agree with Randy, I gave her 4/5.

Jason Castro took the stage next singing, “I Shot the Sheriff.”
I have a question for everyone. Who out there can say, “Boring!” Snore, what a boring song.
•Randy said it was very karaoke.
•Paula liked how he sang to the audience, but she didn’t like the performance.
•Simon said it was atrocious.
2/5. Worst song of the night.

David Archuleta came up next, singing “Stand By Me.”
A very nice song, I thought he did really well.
•Randy said that everytime David takes the stage, he gives a hot performance, and he thinks he will win the whole thing.
•Paula said he delivered it perfectly
•Simon said it was the best performance so far.
5/5. Best song of the night.

After the first round, my preliminary predictions are:
1. David Archuleta
2. Syesha Mercado
3. David Cook
4. Jason Castro

Here we go, round 2:

David Cook returns to the stage with, “Baba O’Riley”
•Randy said this was the David Cook that we love.
•Paula said she wanted more.
•Simon said, “Welcome back, David Cook.”
4/5.

Syesha was up again, singing “A Change is Yet to Come”
What is up with this? Whatever happened to rock & roll? This crap is slow!
•Randy said he didn’t like it as much as the first song.
•Paula just stood up and clapped.
•Simon agreed with Paula.
I agree with Paula and Simon as well. 4/5

Mr. Castro came up again singing “Mr. Tamborine Man.”
Poor Jason! The song was sounding a whole lot better than his last song, then he screwed up big time by forgetting lines.
•Randy didnt know what was up with Jason tonight, cause he wasn’t in his zone at all.
•Paula said, “It is what it is.”
•Simon told Jason to pack his suitcase. Ouch!
Yeah it was crappythat he forgot lines. But I still liked what he did with it better than his first song. 3/5

Archie was last tonight singing “Love Me Tender.”
•Randy said it was a great performance.
•Paula said it was one of her favorites ever of Davids because she could feel his heart in the song.
•Simon said he crushed the competition. Which is a good thing.
I liked it, not as good as the first, so 4/5.

My Final Predictions:
Same as before:
1. David Archuleta
2. Syesha Mercado
3. David Cook
4. Jason Castro

Jason is all but guaranteed to get voted off tomorrow. Peace out!
